Notice that the only First World countries that still carry the death penalty are the 3 in Asia (South Korea, Japan and Taiwan), Israel (it's green in the Death Penalty map), and the United States.

Blue: Abolished for all crimes
Green: Abolished for crimes not committed in exceptional circumstances (such as crimes committed in time of war)
Orange: Abolished in practice
Red: Legal form of punishment for certain offenses
